Thursday, July 24th, 2008

Sure, it was already possible (if complicated) to jailbreak a first-gen iPhone running the 2.0 software under Windows, but this is the one-click tool all you crazy cats with those extra G’s need if you don’t have a Mac — too bad no one’s come up with a better name than “pwn” yet. Please, people. [...]

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

We’re not exactly sure what was going on with that whole on-again / off-again love affair with iPhones having gratis access to AT&T WiFi hotspots, but we’re content with letting bygones be bygones. On the slightly tweaked iPhone “Plans” page, the carrier now lists “Access to AT&T WiFi hotspots” as an included feature along [...]

AT&T Charges $25 “Activation Fee” To Move SIM From one Phone To A GoPhone

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

Does AT&T really charge a $25 “activation fee” when you move your SIM card to a GoPhone? A father had to replace his child’s broken cellphone over the weekend, and the rep at the AT&T store told him the only way to avoid an ETF or plan extension was to buy a GoPhone and pay [...]

This, in combination with previous rumors makes us think that the 3G cameraphone will soon be available [...]
